Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as an anchor and journalist for WPDE-TV Myrtle beach, South Carolina. She worked later as a morning news anchor for WCBD TV and acted as an investigative reporter. Her articles from Charleston on how Charleston police dealt with DUI cases with care, caused an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division. This investigation led to a more strict instruction for the state's authorities. Ms. O'Dell won her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell's experience in Charleston has led to her serving as co-anchor, investigative report and NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Before she joined Access Hollywood she was a co-anchor on weekdays as well as the weekend anchor for NBC. O'Dell, as well as being the lead anchor for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She's covered The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted numerous pre-show arrivals show in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. She hosted both The Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
